When you’re accused of a serious crime, you have the right to question those charges. That might be what this man has been doing, since he was sentenced for child pornography distribution charges. The 22-year-old man from Maryland has been sentenced to five years in prison, according to the news from March 28, and he will also have to be supervised for 25 years after his release. The man allegedly took a plea deal in this case, but he will still have to file as a sex offender wherever he lives, where he works and where he attends school.
The man’s plea agreement states that on Dec. 13, 2012, the man had sent an image and video of minors taking part in sexually explicit conduct to someone he was talking to online. That person reported him to the Baltimore County Police detectives, according to the news. The detectives took over the role and identity of the person online, allegedly asking for more of these videos and images. The 22-year-old allegedly responded by complying.
The man allegedly asked to meet the other person online. At that point, police reported that the detective, an undercover cop, claimed he had to drop off his nephew before they could meet. The 22-year-old allegedly asked that the child be brought to the meeting so they could participate in sexual activities with him. When the 22-year-old arrived at the motel and meeting spot, he was arrested.
